As of February 14, 2024, an addendum was made to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission on Technical Standards of User Equipment in Cellular Land Mobile Service Using Global System for Mobile Communications-Railway (GSM-R) Technology (NBTC TS 1040-2567(2024)) enter into force. These technical standards for user equipment in cellular land mobile service using Global System for Mobile Communications-Railway (GSM-R) technology in order to keep pace with the advancement of current technology and to support railway transportation. Radio Frequency Requirements will used standard ETSI EN 301 511: V12.5.1 or the newest version. This is the global system for mobile communications (GSM), mobile stations (MS) equipment, harmonized standard covering the essential requirement fo article 3.2 of Directive 2014/53/EU. Electrical Safety Requirements will include standards IEC 60950-1, TIS 1561-2556 or current version, IEC 62368-1, and TIS 62368 Part 1.
