Reform Announcement on
China CCC Mark Requirement

The CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration) has announced the reform on China CCC requirement. The new regulation will replace the prior 2002 version and come into effect on March 20, 2018.  The major changes:
 

• Termination of the CCC mark printing/ mold pressing permission and the charges for reviewing CCC mark is also canceled.

• Applicants are allowed to print the CCC mark themselves but must follow the requirement in “Requirement on Application Management of Compulsory Product Certification Mark”.

• Applicant has the option to buy the standard CCC mark label directly from designated certification body instead of self-printing.

• New CCC mark will replace the old one. The supplementary-letter (S, EMC, S & E, F, I), which so far referred to the type of CCC certification, such as “S” for Safety or “F” for Fire Protection is now no longer needed.
