China SRRC Requirements Update

On 30th September 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MIIT) officially announced some changes to the testing requirements and procedure for radio equipment subject to Type Approval in China.
The changes will be effective as of 15th October 2018.
Some of the key points are as follows:
- The model approval testing service inspection agency is determined by the way the government purchases the service.
- Local testing will still be required for SRRC Approval. For new applications submitted after 15th October, SRRC will nominate a locally accredited laboratory to carry out the tests.
