Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade has officially released Circular 07/2018/TT-BKHCNAmends Circular №QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN on National Technical Regulations on Electromagnetic Compatibility for Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

The following technical regulation under the scope of changes:

Article 2:

1. Hair dryers must meet the requirements of this Regulation before being placed on the market starting from September 1, 2019.

2. Blenders, fruit juices, meat grinders and egg whiting machines: as from 1 July 2020 must meet the requirements of this Regulation before being circulated on the market;

3. Microwave ovens and electric cookers (including electromagnetic cookers) must meet the requirements of this Regulation before being circulated on the market from 1 July 2021.

Article 3:

1. Organizations and individuals that are engaged in the manufacture, trading and import of home appliances and electronic appliances shall apply this Regulation and announce the technical regulation conformity before the effective date prescribed in Article 2.

The circular takes effect on September 1, 2018.
