The Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) of Mexico publishes the agreement by which the use and utilization of the frequency bands are amended for 2019.
The frequency bands of the spectrum amy be used in the following ways:
- Commercial - Use of frequency bands of the radio spectrum by entities for profit
- Public use - Use of frequency bands of the radio spectrum by governing bodies, municipalities, and public institutions for fulfilment of purposes
- Private use - Use of frequency bands of the radio spectrum for private communication or experimentation, verification, or testing
- Social use - Use of frequency bands of the radio spectrum for cultural, scientific, educational, or non-profit purposes to the community

Frequency bands that are the subject of the 2019 program are classified according to their Modality of Use, indicating in each case, the basic characteristics associated with each one. This includes the service to which they are destined, the geographic coverage in which will be made available, and the category of the radiocommunication service to which they are allocated.
