Revision of Technical Standards for Wireless and Telecommunication Testing

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of South Korea is revising the technical standards for wireless equipment telecommunications testing as the international standard for narrowband IoT equipment is revised.

Article 4, paragraph 6, sub-paragraph 3 shall be as follows:

B. Out-of-band drivers shall meet the following conditions:

Occupied Frequency BandwidthFrequency Band*Average Power of Unwanted EmissionResolution Bandwidth
200 kHz±100 kHz< 26 dBm30 kHz
±200 kHz< -5 dBm
±250 kHz< -8 dBm
±400 kHz< -29 dBm
±(600 - 1800) kHz< -35 dBm

* NOTE: The average power of unwanted emissions between frequency bands should be linearly interpolated.

Article 4 (Wireless facility for mobile communication)

â‘¥ Technical standards for narrowband Internet of Things wireless facilities for mobile telecommunication that uses frequency division multiplexing method are as follows:

4. Conditions of Mobile Station Transmitter

B. Out-of-band drivers shall meet the following conditions:

Occupied Frequency BandwidthFrequency Band*Average Power of Unwanted EmissionResolution Bandwidth
200 kHz±100 kHz< 26 dBm30 kHz
±200 kHz< -5 dBm
±250 kHz< -8 dBm
±400 kHz< -29 dBm
±(600 - 1800) kHz< -35 dBm

* NOTE: The average power of unwanted emissions between frequency bands should be linearly interpolated.
