The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is requiring certification on all products with the IPv6 feature in compliance with MCMC MTSFB TC T013:2019.

According to the IPv6 Compliant Product Certification Program, all products with the IPv6 feature that meet the criteria as outlined in MCMC Technical Code, MCMC MTSFB TC T013:2019 need to be certified.

Along with the standard documents required to be submitted during the Type Approval application, IPv6 Product Declaration is also required for IPv6 products.

For IPv6 Cellular products WITHOUT WiFi interface, under the Terminal/Host category, interim approval will be issued and valid for one year. Once the cellular interface compliance to IPv6 requirements is fulfilled, then there will be a full approval.

For cellular products WITH WiFi features, a WiFi IPv6 report can be submitted to gain full approval.

The IPv6 Compliant Product Certification Program went into effect on July 10, 2020.
