Changes to Labeling Requirements for Telecommunications Products

The Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC) of India has revised the procedure for labeling requirements on certified telecommunications products.

The TEC revised TEC/10/2018-NC (Pt. III) on the labeling procedure for Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipmentย (MTCTE).

With these new amendments, the TEC has loosened the requirements for labeling on certified products within the MCTCE procedure. Instead of affixing the label to the product once the TEC certificate is received, there will now be an exempt period of 6 months. This period starts from the date of product testing within the certification procedure.
