The Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) of Argentina published Resolución 771/2020, extending the validity of certain Type Approval Certificates due to COVID-19.

Type Approval certificates with an expiration date between March 16, 2020 and September 18, 2020 will be extended by a period of 60 calendar days.

Resolución 771/2020 replaces ENACOM’s previous resolution, 461/2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which applied the extension only until June 30, 2020.

A system will be in place to automatically display the validity extensions of Approval certificates. ENACOM recommends renewing Type Approval Certificates per the current process.
