The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has opened for comment a new draft technical code for cellular booster equipment.

This draft Technical Code was developed to ensure all Cellular Booster Equipment (CBE) in the market complies to the requirements which would not cause interference to the mobile network. It is also for the purpose of certifying communications equipment under the Communications and Multimedia (Technical Standards) Regulations 2000.

This public comment exercise was intended to obtain feedback from MTSFB Members, the Communications and Multimedia industry players, government agencies, manufacturers and any other related stakeholders’ agencies, and the general public with the knowledge on CBE.

Public comments were open from August 21, 2020 to September 20, 2020.
