The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of India has extended the implementation of mandatory phase IV BIS product categories.

Originally, the product categories were set to become mandatory in BIS-CRS starting on October 1, 2020.

This new extension implements the mandatory categories on April 1, 2021.

Additionally, the category “Standalone LED Modules for General Lighting” has been substituted by “Independent LED Modules for General Lighting.”
