The Ministry of Industry of Indonesia has announced new procedures for calculating the value of the Domestic Component Level of electronic and telematic products.

They now calculate Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri (TKDN), which means they calculate the local and domestic component usage level.

This requirement applies to both electronic and telematic products. This new procedure could be an indicator that Indonesia will want to control the usage of the local component level for these types of products in the future.

The exact date these new provisions and procedures will be implemented has not yet been announced.
