The Botswana Communication Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) has announced that all new certificates will be valid for an unlimited period of time for applications submitted after July 1, 2020.

All past issued certificates that expired or are about to expire will need to submit for renewal in order to get the lifetime validity certificate.

Any variations or upgrades of equipment that impacts equipment safety, EMC, spectrum use, and standards would still need to go back through the approval process to get a new Type Approval certificate.
