Vietnam Ministry of Infomation and Communications (MIC) has issued an update of Technical Regulations for Land Mobile User Equipment - Radio Access QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT

On Dec. 31, 2020 MIC has issued a Circular 43/2020/TT-BTTTT which introduces the new standard, QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT the National technical regulation on Land Mobile User Equipment - Radio Access. This new standard will replace QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT (RF standard for 4G), QCVN 15:2015/BTTTT (RF standard for 3G) and QCVN 12:2015/BTTTT (RF standard for 2G) from July 01, 2021.

And all type approval certificates which were issued under the old standards: QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT, QCVN 15:2015/BTTTT and QCVN 12:2015/BTTTT will keep valid until the type approval certificates expire.

In order to keep exporting or importing the products under impacted categories to Vietnam, the applicant shall need to test products for the new versions of standards and obtain new Type Approval certificate listing the new versions.
