The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) published the draft of the new national radio frequency plan 2021.

This covers many different topics such as ITUs (International Telecom Unions), and what type of radio frequencies are allowed in each separate ITU region. Along with that, there are new proposals in this frequency plan that include mobile, satellite, and space operation as well.

People who are interested in commenting are asked to have written responses or submit electronic versions via Microsoft Word.

The commenting period is still open until August 27th, and public hearings will be held from September 7th to September 9th, 2021.
