An Update to the National Frequency Allocation Plan

CONATEL, The Comisiรณn Nacional de Telecomunicaciones has recently updated the national frequency allocation plan.

This plan will open up access to frequency bands that are going to be allocated for WiFi 6e, which is a new type of wireless network for use in home environments and in the mainstream.

This will mainly be done by allocating bands that were originally allocated for other items, since WiFi is being used more often in households. The 5925 MHz and 7125 MHz are the bands that will be allocated for the new WiFi 6E standard. This will allow more people to access the internet across Honduras, which will also help modernize the country as well.

The update was issued on the 4th of August 2021.
