The Telecommunication Engineering Center has released a new Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE).

These new phases are going to be rolled out starting in 2022 for Phase 3 and 4. This will mean that any product being imported or sold into India will need approval by January 7, 2022 and will not be allowed any exemptions.

A new notification on the 22nd of September was issued for the launch of MTCTE Phase-III and Phase-IV mandatory products for certification. There are new listings that include things like Router/\s, switches, gateways, and wireless/terminal mobile devices under this new list.

The portal opens October 11 2021, and will become mandatory on July 1st, 2022.
