The National Communication Commission (NCC) is starting to roll out the deployment of 5G in the country.
This comes after the minister has announced that 5G has been approved on the 8th of September 2021. The implementation of 5G will start in heavily populated cities and start to move outwards to more rural areas later on. NCC will create a roadmap that will work alongside this as well, along with auctioning the use of the spectrum.
There will also be a new process for the approval of preoducts that are using the 5G band. This will ensure that the mobile network operators safely roll out 5G and not cause any health concerns as well.
The main goal of this is to be fully deployed in the country by 2025.
