A New Public Consultation

The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) in Canada has opened a public consultation on RSS-102 SPR-002, which relates to RSS-102.

The main scope of this public consultation is Supplementary Procedure SPR-002, issue 2, sets out methods for assessing compliance of 169 equipment operating in the frequency range from 3 kHz to 10 MHz with the RF exposure limits 170 to prevent nerve stimulation (NS) and thermal effects outlined in RSS-102.

The main application of this RSS-102 Supplementary Procedure (SPR-002) provides general requirements for both 190 measurement-based and computational assessments of RF exposure in the range of 3 kHz to 10 191 MHz, as well as the combination of exposure contributions from multiple transmitters and/or 192 multiple frequencies.

Comments will be open until March 14, 2022.
