The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) of Taiwan proposes to adopt CNS 15936 (CISPR 32 based standard) to replace CNS 13438 (CISPR 22 based standard).
The purpose of this is to ensure consumer safety by bringing the regulations in line with the internaional standards the newest version of the electrical safety specifications, electromagnetic compatibility and related inspection standards, CNS 15598-1: 2020 and CNS 15936: 2016.
The proposed date of implementation is January 1st, 2024 and the scope of covered products includes over 30 product types as follows in the table below:

For products that already have a certificate and are placed on the market, they do not have to be retested to the revised inspection standards before their certificates expire. If the products have types of changes that need to obtain a new certificate, the products shall be tested to the revised inspection standards as if January 1st, 2024.
