The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam updated their technical standards to cover a new list of products requiring approval.
The following national technical standards have been added:
- QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT - Standalone 5G NR mobile terminal equipment
- QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT - Non-standalone 5G NR mobile terminal equipment
- QCVN 128:2021/BTTTT - 5G network base station equipment
- QCVN 123:2021/BTTTT - Short-range radio transmitters operating in 40 GHz to 246 GHz band
- QCVN 124:2021/BTTTT - Vehicle or railway radars operating in 76 GHz to 77 GHz band
Other updates also affect RFID equipment, SRDs, land mobile radio equipment, and high frequency digital transmission equipment (1.4 GHz to 55 GHz).
This will be in effect starting July 1st, 2022 and will replace the following two past changes:
- 11/2020/TT-BTTTT: List of products and good potentially unsafe under the governance of MIC (May 14th, 2020)
- 01/2021/TT-BTTTT: Supplement to 11/2020/TT-BTTTT (May 14th, 2020)
