The Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) in Hong Kong is planning to release HKCA1081 for Wi-Fi 6E products.
Wireless Local Area Network products (commonly known as Wi-Fi devices) have been widely deployed in the 2.4 GHz band as well as the 5 GHz band for applications such as home internet routers, personal computers, smartphones, and wearable devices in Hong Kong.
With the emergences of new WLAN devices operating in the 5925 – 7125 MHz band (the “6 GHz band”), devices will support faster data rates with lower latency, resulting in better performance.
Here are the basic certification requirements:
- RF test reports: ESTI EN 303 687
- Safety test report: IEC / EN 62368-1
Complete requirements will be subject to OFCA'strong formal release of HKCA1081 specifications.
