LTE and 5G Tech Products Must Meet New Minimum

Directorate General Of Posts and Information (SDPPI) issued an announcement regarding minimum percentage of Domestic Components Level (TKDN) that products with LTE and 5G Technology must achieve.

According to the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Regulation Number 13 of 2021 will be in effect as of April 18, 2022. The Technical Standard of Telecommunication Equipment based on Long Term Evolution and/or International Mobile Telecommunications-2020 Subscriber Station Telecommunication Devices based on Long Term Evolution and/or International Mobile Telecommunications-2020 technologies are mandatory to fulfill the minimum domestic Components Level [TKDN] of 35%. This is a 5% increase for the previous 30%.

This new mandatory for certification application will be applicable for mobile cellular phones, tablets, handheld computers, and Wi-Fi (MiFi) modem with Long Term Evolution (LTE) and/or International Mobile Telecommunications-2020 (5G). All technologies will be mandated to enclose legal proof from the Ministry of Industry with the achievement of the minimum 35% of Domestics Components Level (TKDN).
