The Certification and Accreditation Administration(CNCA) released a new EMC standard GB/T 9254.1-2021.

Starting from July 1, 2022 GB/T 9254.1-2021will replace the current standatds, "GB/T 9254-2008” and “GB/T 13837-2012”. The GB/T 9254.2-2021 standard is applicable to information technology equipment, audio equipment, video equipment, broadcast receiving equipment, entertainment lighting control equipment and their combinations whose rated AC voltage RMS or DC voltage does not exceed 600V, including multimedia equipment for professional use And GB/T 9254-2008 and GB/T 13837-2012 applicable equipment.

Enterprises can choose to implement certification according to the new version of the standard or the old version of the standard from the date of the notice until June 30, 2022.

According to the China Quality Certification Center, in order for old standatd to be still effective, a standard updated application is required for the products that contains a valid CCC certificate based on the old standard needs to be submitted. The applicant will directly cumbits a certificate renewal application with the applicant agency before the deadline.

If the 3C certification is still in the application process, the entrerprise can communicate with the applicant agency to change the new standard to applym but the new certification needs to be issued after July 1st.However,It is not required to update the certificate if the certified products that have been delivered and put on the market are no longer produced before July 1, 2022.
