The Framework for Fifth Generation (5G) Public Mobile Telecommunications Networks in Trinidad and Tobago establishes a regulatory framework to support the introduction and development of 5G networks in the country. The framework identifies the appropriate policies, rules, and regulations for planning, authorisation, and deployment of 5G networks, while also specifying the key requirements related to the minimum technical performance of IMT-2020, as defined by ITU.

Notably, the framework does not cover 5G network design and architecture, related technologies, or pricing for 5G spectrum.
