A draft circular has been published by the Ministry of Information and Communications, which aims to replace Circular 02/2022/TT-TT-BTTTT.
In accordance with the new circular, type approval certificates must be updated to comply with the new safety or EMC standards, which are explicitly defined. The main differences between the new and old circulars include the addition of new standards, such as QCVN 130:2022/BTTTT for wireless audio products, QCVN 131:2022/BTTTT for EUTRA NB-IoT, QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT for tablets, desktops, laptops, DECT phones, set-top-boxes, and televisions. IEC 62368-1:2018 report will be accepted until 2023-12-31, but after 2024-01-01, local testing in compliance with local standards will be necessary.
Additionally, QCVN 65:2013/BTTTT will be replaced by QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT, and NFC 13.56 MHz, SRD 5.8 GHz will be included in Annex 2 and subject to declaration of conformity only. The new circular will become effective from 2023-07-01.
