India's Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) has announced that the acceptance of applications, including security testing, for WiFi CPEs and IP Routers on the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE) portal will begin on July 1, 2023.

OEMs with MTCTE certificates or pending applications for these products before the start date are required to apply for conversion to an integrated certificate with security testing. The security parameters must adhere to Indian Assurance Telecom Requirements (ITSARs). A list of designated Telecom Security Testing Laboratories (TSTL) for testing against applicable ITSARs is available on the National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) website.
