Vietnam has drafted a National technical regulation for Short Range Devices (SRD), radio equipment that use the 9 kHz to 25 MHz frequency range based on ETSI EN 300 220 V2.1.1 (2017-02). The new technical regulations specifies radio frequency requirements for Short Range Devices (SRD) covering equipment like generic SRDs operating int he range for 9 kHz to 25 MHz and inductive loop equipment operating from 9 kHz to 30 MHz. This includes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Near Field Communications (NFC), and Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) operating in LF and HF ranges.

This draft of National technical regulation applies to Vietnamese, foreign organizations and individuals that manufacture and trade in equipment covered by this regulation within the territory of Vietnam. This draft is intended to supercede QCVN 55:2011/BTTTT. Final date for comments will be May 15, 2023. The proposed date of adoption is August 1, 2023. The proposed date of entry into force is August 1, 2024.
