The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority(TRA) publishes guidelines for IoT services international roaming, after researching the legal issues surrounding the worldwide roaming of IoT devices and speaking with pertinent telecommunications companies.

IoT services using international SIM cards are permitted under the new TRA directive for a maximum of 90 days. For businesses and individuals that depend on IoT services while traveling, this means that IoT devices with international SIM cards can now operate in Oman for a maximum of 90 days.
