New Requirements for UWB

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has notified the public about the change in provision son Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Equipment. MIIT has published the provision, β€œMIIT No. [2024 No. 77,” for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Equipment and will come into full effect August 1, 2025. The previous UWB Technology regulation, β€œMIIT No. [2008] No. 354,” will be abolished at that time.

Type Approvals that meet original provisions, before the implementation of β€œMIIT No. [2024] No. 77,” on August 1, 2025, will be able to apply for approval or extensions as usual. After the implementation date, only submissions following the new requirements, will be accepted. Technical requirements in the new provision refers to the radio transmission equipment with a transmission signal bandwidth of -10 dB not less than 500 MHz and an operating frequency of 7163-8812 MHz.
