Canada Updates RSS-195 Standard for Wireless Communication Service Equipment

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has issued a revision to RSS-195, now released as Issue 3. This updated standard replaces the previous 2014 version and introduces several technical and structural enhancements for equipment operating in the 2305–2320 MHz and 2345–2360 MHz bands.

Key updates included in RSS-195 Issue 3:

• • New maximum transmitter power requirements added for fixed, base, and subscriber stations.
• • Updated band plan for 2305–2320 MHz and 2345–2360 MHz included in Table 1.
• • New definitions added to clarify terminology and improve interpretation.
• • Document modernized to align with current Radio Standards Specification format and structure.
• • General editorial updates and clarifications to improve readability and consistency.
