The Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) has introduced stricter procedures for verifying Letters of Authorization (LoA) or agency letters submitted during equipment approval applications. Moving forward, the authority will directly contact the signatory or issuing manufacturer to confirm the authenticity of each LoA.
To avoid delays or rejections, all LoAs must now contain the following mandatory elements:
CAK has clarified that applications missing any of these elements will be automatically rejected. Resubmissions will require paying the full application fees again under the updated approval process.
Manufacturers and applicants should review their LoA templates promptly to ensure full compliance.
