The Autorité de Régulation des Communications Électroniques et de la Poste (ARCEP Niger) has announced a leadership change following a presidential decree issued on 2 February 2026. Moussa Zeinabou Seyni has been appointed as the new Director General of the regulatory authority, succeeding Idrissa Chaibou, who previously held the role.
The appointment marks an important transition for the regulator responsible for overseeing telecommunications and postal services in Niger. Leadership changes within regulatory authorities often involve administrative restructuring and operational adjustments as responsibilities are transferred to the new management team.
During the transition period and while the official handover process is completed, some regulatory procedures and ongoing initiatives may experience temporary delays. Industry stakeholders are advised to monitor announcements from ARCEP Niger and plan regulatory submissions accordingly to minimize potential disruptions during this period.
