EAEU Enforces Standardized GOST CISPR 35-2019 Standard Under TR CU 020/2011

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) updated the approved standards list supporting Technical Regulation TR CU 020/2011 on the Electromagnetic Compatibility of Technical Means. The regulatory update formally incorporates GOST CISPR 35-2019—which mirrors international standard CISPR 35 for multimedia equipment immunity requirements—into the mandatory compliance framework across member states, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. The standard establishes unified electromagnetic immunity testing parameters for an expanded range of information technology, audio/video, and broadcast equipment seeking market access under the Eurasian Conformity (EAC) system.

To manage the adoption of these updated testing parameters, the EEC established a structured transition timeline for original equipment manufacturers and importers. The application of GOST CISPR 35-2019 became mandatory for new EAC conformity assessment filings on January 1, 2025. To prevent immediate supply chain disruptions, the validity of legacy standard GOST EN 55020-2016 for sound and television broadcast receivers was granted a temporary extension through July 1, 2025. This transitional window allows manufacturers to update technical construction files, execute necessary lab re-testing, and transition existing EAC Certificates and Declarations of Conformity before older standard references are fully phased out.
