The EU Commission published the 'Blue Guide on the Implementation of Product Rules 2022' on June 9th, 2022. The Guide's goal is to improve understanding of EU product rules and to make them easier to apply uniformly across sectors in the Single Market.

This Guide covers non-food and non-agricultural products known as industrial products or products for use by consumers or professionals.The product regulations are consistent with the New Legislative Framework.

The Blue Guide provides instructions for implementing the provisions and concepts outlined in the New Legislative Framework as well as the general application of market surveillance provisions outlined in Regulation (EU) 2019/1020. It covered:
