The regulator of Thailand, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has prepared two drafts for new NBTC announcements related to Spectrum Licensing Criteria 5.925-6.425 GHz in a General License and related technical standards to support the use of such new technology on August 11, 2022. There are three issues being discussed.

NBTC Notification: Criteria of authorization to use frequency 5.925-6.425 GHz.

NBTC Notification: Technical Standard for telecommunication equipment using frequency of 5.925-6.425 GHz.

NBTC Notification: Criteria for using frequency and radiocommunication equipment that are authorized to use in general.

NBTC is inviting stakeholders and the vernal public to participate in public opinion on the 5 NBTC announcements above, with details of the hearing as follows.

Hearing Period is Fromm August 11, 2022 to October 12, 2022

Comments can be submitted in writing from August 11, 2022, through two following channels:

Submit in person or by registered mail with the title “Comment on Draft Notice 5.925-6.425 GHz” to this address: Office of the NBTC (Frequency Management Bureau) No. 87 Phahonyothin Road Soi 8 (Somsai), Samsen Nai Sub-district, Phayathai District, Bangkok 10400.

The meeting is scheduled to be held on September 30, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. ICT (Indochina Time).
